Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”), California residents have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of their personal information. Under the CCPA/CPRA, “sale” and “sharing” have broad definitions that may include the disclosure of personal information to subscribing advisory firms through the Exit Lab platform.
How the Exit Lab Platform Shares Information
When you complete the valuation scanner on the Exit Lab platform and consent to data sharing, your contact information, business information, and scanner results may be shared with a subscribing advisory firm assigned to your geographic region and industry vertical. This sharing is described in detail in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Second Chair Advisory LLC receives subscription fees from advisory firms in exchange for access to lead data. Under the broad definitions of the CCPA/CPRA, this arrangement may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
How to Opt Out
If you are a California resident and wish to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, you may do so by contacting us directly:
Submit Your Opt-Out Request
Email: [email protected]
Subject line: CCPA Opt-Out Request - Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Please include your full name, email address used on the platform, and the words “I opt out of the sale and sharing of my personal information” in the body of your email.
What Happens After You Opt Out
Once we process your opt-out request:
(a) We will stop sharing your personal information with subscribing advisory firms going forward.
(b) We will not discriminate against you for exercising your opt-out right (e.g., by denying services, charging different prices, or providing a different level of service).
(c) You may still use the Platform’s educational tools and content.
(d) Information already shared with a subscribing advisory firm prior to your opt-out request is subject to that firm’s own privacy practices.
Additional California Privacy Rights
In addition to the right to opt out, California residents may also have the right to:
Request access to the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
